Biography of Joe F. Mach

Ennis, Texas

Joe Mach was a private in the U.S. Army. He entered the Army in January of 1944, and trained at Camp Fannin, near Tyler, Texas and Fort George G. Meade, near Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the 175th Infantry, 29th Division in England and France. He died on September 2, 1944 in France. He is buried in Brittany, France. 

Joe was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Mary Mach, and the husband of Wilma Juricek Mach.

He was awarded the Rifleman and Infantryman Badges, and the Purple Heart Medal.

He is listed on the Memorial Monument to Ennis War Dead and Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
