Biography of Tommy "Tom" Winn, Jr.

Waxahachie, Texas

Tom Winn was an Ensign in the United States Navy. He was missing in action and believed dead on February 7, 1945 due to an airplane crash at sea. 

 He was the son of Mrs. Grace Kennedy Winn of Houston, Texas and Mr. Tom Winn of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born in 1923. His grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Kennedy of Waxahachie. A Cenotaph monument honoring Ensign Winn stands in Waxahachie City Cemetery, Central Section, Part 4 on the Kennedy lot. He is listed on the Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll and Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
