Biography of James Lewis Jarratt

Bell Branch, Texas

James Jarratt was a corporal in the U.S. Army. He entered the Army in 1941. He trained at Camp Polk, Louisiana and Ft. Benning, Georgia. He served in 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance in England, France, Holland, Belgium and Germany. He was captured by the Germans, and died in a German prison camp near Duderstadt, Germany on April 2, 1945. He is buried in The Netherlands American Cemetery at Margraten, The Netherlands. 

James was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jarrett of Italy, Texas.
