Biography of Paul Edwin Barnett

Trumbull, Texas

Paul Barnett was a private in the U.S. Army. He entered the army in August of 1942, and trained at Camp Wolters four miles east of Mineral Wells, Texas. He served in New Caledonia, Guadalcanal, Fiji, Bougainville, and the Philippines, and died in the Philippines on February 20, 1945. 

Paul was the son of Mr. Roe Barnett of Trumbull, Texas. He attended Ferris High School.

He was awarded the Good Conduct Ribbon, Infantry Combat Badge and Campaign Bar.

Paul is listed on the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
