Biography of Horace Lee Armstrong

Anyone have pictures of H. L. Armstrong?

Waxahachie, Texas

Horace Armstrong was a sergeant in the United States Army. He enlisted three-week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served in the 132nd Field Artillery in 36th Division. In April of 1943 he experienced his first taste of combat in North Africa followed by Sicily, and finally Italy. He was in combat six months, and on March 5, 1944 he was killed in action. 

He was reburied in Hillcrest Cemetery in Waxahachie. He is listed on the Waxahachie Daily Light Honor Roll, the Waxahachie First Baptist Church Honor Roll and the Ellis County Veterans Memorial.
